If a socket has no power but the breaker has not tripped, the cause may be a loose contact, broken wire, failed neutral connection or a fault in a junction box.
The outlet may be burned, a terminal may be loose, a cable may be damaged in the wall or the previous socket in the circuit may have failed.
An electrician tests the breaker output, neutral busbar, sockets and junction boxes, finds the last working point and safely restores the connection.
