The incoming electrical line of a private house must be planned by real load. Cable size, the main breaker, the distribution panel and grounding should work as one safe system. Poor sizing can cause cable heating, tripping breakers and voltage drop.
An electrician should calculate total load, cable length, installation method and future additions such as pumps, outdoor lighting, cameras or high-power appliances. The panel should be split into clear groups and each breaker should protect the cable correctly.
If the panel is warm, there is a burning smell, lights flicker or breakers trip often, the line should be tested under load. Grounding, connections and leakage protection must also be checked.
