Child room electrical safety needs careful planning. Children may pull cables, touch sockets or play near wiring, so the room should be arranged to reduce everyday electrical risks.
Sockets should be placed safely, cables should not lie across the floor or be trapped by furniture, and extension cords should not become a permanent solution. The circuit load should be checked.
If the room has a computer, air conditioner, strong lighting or many chargers, the existing wiring may need review. Additional sockets should be installed with the correct cable and breaker.
If a socket gets hot, a breaker trips, there is a smell or lights flicker, the room needs inspection. An electrician should check contacts, cable size, breaker rating, panel condition and real load.
